We grow food, make useful things, and routinely underestimate how much work both will involve. Shop seasonal produce, seedlings, 3D-printed garden gear, woodworking, and handmade goods—made locally and tested on our own chaos first.
Small Steps. Big Ideas. Questionable Amounts of Dirt.
Flail Together Farms is being built one garden bed, market table, prototype, and mildly overcomplicated project at a time. We do not have everything figured out, but we are making steady progress and learning which mistakes are worth repeating.
1. We Bought an Acreage
We spent the first year learning the property, starting the garden, and discovering that weeds require absolutely no encouragement.
2. We Made It Official
Flail Together Farms is now a registered Alberta business with a growing collection of produce, plants, 3D-printed products, woodworking, and handmade goods.
3. We Built Things People Can Actually Use
We are developing practical garden tools, planters, plant supports, home and farm goods, and other products inspired by problems we encountered five minutes earlier.
4. We Are Heading to Market
We are starting small at local farmers markets, meeting our community, testing products, and finding out whether anyone else appreciates our particular level of practical chaos.
5. We Are Growing From Here
More growing space, better systems, new products, an online shop, and fewer projects beginning with the phrase, “What's the worst that could happen?”
6. Build Real Connections

I’ve never been naturally good at putting myself out there or making new connections, but I’m working on it. A big goal for Flail Together Farms is to become part of the local community, meet good people, and build real connections, one slightly awkward conversation at a time.
We Bought an Acreage. Things Escalated.
After our first year on the acreage, we decided it was time to stop talking about all the things we wanted to grow, build, and learn, and start making a proper mess of it.
Flail Together Farms is our attempt to become more self-sufficient, create useful things, connect with our community, and have some fun while figuring it all out. We are not experts. We are simply stubborn, curious, and apparently unable to leave a perfectly manageable hobby alone.
